Just an illusion

Actions speak louder than words.
They spoke,
They spoke when you didnt,
They spoke when you feigned affection,
They spoke through your ignorance
When your words only spoke as much as I could hear.

Your mesmerising eyes,
They spoke,
They spoke volumes..
They spoke when you glanced into my eyes,
They spoke when you decided not to look,
Fearing what they might reveal... what they took.

Your silence..
It spoke,
It spoke so loud it echoed in my ears.
It spoke when you created a distance,
It spoke when you walked away without a goodbye
And didnt turn back to hear my silent cry.

And I was left with nothing but
Your unsaid words,
Your unfulfilled promises,
Your untouched reality,
Your fairy tale so imaginary,
Yet so real..
Which in the end was
Just an illusion.
